Snail breeds that sell for $50 per kilo in the US
Snail meat is a good source of protein. It is rich in iron and calcium, but low in fat and cholesterol, compared to other animal protein sources such as poultry, pigs, cow and goat. They are environmental-friendly because unlike pigs and poultry, neither the snail nor its droppings smell offensively. Snails can also be reared in the backyard.
Snail meat is a delicacy and it is easier to sell. Snail meat is white meat with a difference; it is similar in taste and texture to that of seafood; but unlike seafood, it is characteristically organic. It is therefore quite clearly a preferable table meat from the health point of view and is increasingly recommended by nutritionists, especially for the elderly and people living with chronic diseases that require modified diets

PDP accuses FG of sidelining Bayelsa in federal appointments

The Peoples Democratic Party, Bayelsa State chapter, has accused the All Progressives Party-led Federal Government of sidelining the state in federal appointments.
The party also frowned on the way and manner the Federal Government had been managing the nation’s economy, claiming the development was responsible for the inability of many states to meet their salary and other financial obligations to their workers.

The Edo State Government has debunked media reports that it was owing
a former coach of the Super Eagles, the late Shuaibu Amodu, unpaid
salaries to tune of N25 million.It also described the letter said to have been written by the late coach and the claims therein as “patently false”.

Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB), that there should be no
post-UTME exercise in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions, Ekiti State University
(EKSU) hereby inform all UTME candidates seeking admission into the institution
to note that online capturing of required information for screening exercise
will hold between Monday 13th June, 2016 and 8th July, 2016.
